$55,000 to $65,000

This custom deck in Wilton turned a sloping, uneven block into a usable, level space built for entertaining family and friends. The homeowner already knew the WoodEvo brand from previous experience, so Ballard’s Carpentry carried out an on-site measure and quote to plan a deck large enough to solve the block’s layout problems properly.

The finished custom deck uses WoodEvo Home Advanced composite decking in Oak, set onto a ClickDeck aluminium subframe suited to the uneven ground beneath it. Long stairs lead from the main deck down to the yard, fitted with Trex recessed and stair riser deck lighting for safe use after dark. The result is a single, expansive deck rather than a series of smaller tiers, giving the family one open space for tables, seating and outdoor cooking.

The completed deck gives the family a genuine outdoor entertaining space where the yard previously offered only a slope. A homeowner facing a similar sloping or uneven block can expect the same approach: A levelled custom deck, a subframe suited to the ground conditions, and lighting that keeps stairs and pathways safe well into the evening.
